So you just got engaged and you're searching for your glam team for one of the most memorable days of your life. Contrary to popular belief picking your makeup artist for your wedding day is one of the most important decisions in your wedding planning journey.
These are pictures you are going to have forever so looking and feeling good is crucial.
Maybe you don't know the first thing about makeup or maybe you're a makeup expert either way you want to hire a well rounded professional to simplify this process for you.
With our signature timeless glam that leaves our brides with fresh glowy skin and the perfect amount of pop on the eyes to make your eyes stand out in pictures we customize the look based on your personal preference and comfort level.
So here's how it works ...
Once you fill out our wedding inquiry form our team will check availability to ensure that your date is available within our team before we move forward in chatting more about your wedding day details.
Once we have confirmed the artist for your date we take you through the process of creating a sample proposal for you to view an estimated total for services based upon your own personal needs for both you and your bridal party. We then schedule a brief complimentary bridal beauty consultation call to answer any questions you might have for us.
HOW DO I BOOK?
One you submit your signed Bridal agreement to hold your date along with a non-refundable retainer of 20% of total amount of services. All dates are first come first serve.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?
The Bridal Bar is a luxury style makeup team which means we work with a limited amount of brides each year to ensure optimal service. We book weddings as early as 24 months out. We recommend locking in your date 6-12 months out.
WHERE DO I GO FOR SERVICES?
We offer mobile services on site, in the most convenient way possible- In the comfort of your home, hotel or location of your choice. Our team services NY, NJ, CT, MA, and surrounding areas. Some locations are subject to a travel fee. Our bridal trial services are done at our private studio located at 226 westbury ave, Carle Place, NY 11514.
DO WE HAVE A SERVICE MINIMUM?
Yes, During peak wedding season May- July & September-October dates landing on Saturdays must meet a service minimum of $650.
Once we receive your signed bridal agreement as well as your holding retainer we officially take your wedding date off the market and we begin your bridal beauty planning process by gathering makeup inspo photos of what you are thinking of doing on the big day! (The fun part!!!!!)
DO YOU OFFER TRIALS?
Yes! Trials are highly recommended but not mandatory. We suggest booking your trial when you have your engagement shoot. Trials are done at our private studio Monday-Thursday. Before your trial we will email you over some tips to prepare for your trial as well as a questionnaire to make sure we deliver you a personalized experience.
CAN I BOOK A TRIAL BEFORE I BOOK?
Yes, You can absolutely book a trial run before you secure your date. But this doesn't guarantee that your date will still be available leading up to your trial run date as we could only secure the date with a signed contract and retainer.
CAN I BRING SOMEONE TO MY TRIAL?
While it may seem fun to bring a bridesmaid to your trial, coming along will allow for a more seamless and stress free appointment.
I'VE DONE OTHER BRIDAL MAKEUP TRIALS AND LEFT UNHAPPY. WHAT MAKES YOU DIFFERENT?
At The Bridal Bar we do things a little differently. We know that sometimes our future brides come to us with bad experiences from other artists. We also know sometimes our future brides may be feeling uncomfortable or shy. To ease this we send over a detailed questionnaire to get to know you and your bridal beauty vision before we even meet. Before you arrive everything is set to create your own personalized appointment. Upon your arrival you will be greeted with your favorite drink. Every detail from the music that is playing to the scents in the room are thought of to create a unforgettable bridal trial experience. We then do a strategy session. We talk about your skin type, your skincare routine, your makeup likes and dislikes, bridal inspo and more. Taking all of these things in account we create your wedding day look leaving time at the end for feedback.
Knowing how stressful it could be to round up a group of ladies for your makeup services we curate a timeline for you! One less thing that you need to worry about! We will email you a custom getting ready timeline once you let us know when your photographer will arrive for getting ready photos.
HOW LONG WILL SERVICES TAKE ON MY WEDDING DAY?
Our bridal team sends out enough artists for your bridal party to be completed in a timely manner so you aren't sitting around all day or waking up crazy early for services. Rest assure your guests will not feel just another client squeezed in between the next client in the books. We schedule enough time per guest so no one is feeling rushed.
WHAT KIND OF BRANDS DO WE USE FOR MAKEUP?
All of the items utilized in our kit are of professional quality and have been carefully selected for their ability to photograph beautifully while still maintaining a natural, fresh finish. To ensure durability throughout the day, all of our products are professional grade, long-wearing, and water resistant. Selected brands include: Temptu airbrush foundation, Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, Danessa Myricks, Dior, Natasha Denona, Pat McGrath Labs, Makeup Forever.
WHAT IF I CRY MY EYES OUT AT THE ALTAR OR I GET REALLY SWEATY ON THE DANCE FLOOR?
We are confident our makeup will last though sweat and tears. However if you want to upgrade your bridal day services we offer to stay with you the whole time to take are of any last minute touch ups or last minute issues. Just like a celeb would have her glam squad we'll make sure you look the best the entire day.
